From the Record Store to the Book Store

Years ago record shopping was my favorite hobby. I spent hours shopping for records, listening to records, writing about and reviewing records. No I don't mean CDs, I mean vinyl records. It only makes sense that I also looked for cute storage options for these records. Some of these storage options have evolved into storage for other items around my house, my fave books and magazines.

Tallulah has more books than I sometimes know what to do with. Ya I know there are worse problems to have than a toddler who likes to read. I have several of these vintage metal wire 7" record holders in my stash that just so happen to fit her small thin books perfectly. Not to mention look cute while they are doing it.

My mother had this amazing Columbia Records display on her patio before I rescued it and reunited it with records. When Tallulah got old enough to pull up she also got old enough to get into the records in the front two shelves. We took the records out and started using the shelves to hold magazines and books instead!

Ever thought about using vinyl records to make bookends? Wanna see my Coke-a-Cola Magazine display on Apartment Therapy? Do you have any fun ways of displaying your books and magazines?
