A Typical Weekend in Austin

Attention arty Austinites, I have two fun filled events to tell you about starting this week and going on throughout December.

First up is the 8th annual Blue Genie Christmas Bazaar. You can find hand made goodies by yours truly snuggled in the Austin Craft Mafia booth. December 3rd through December 24th every day at 10am you can get your hand made shop on at the Monarch Events Center. I brought up tons of fun jewelry, kinky candles and crafty Christmas curio stockings. Plus knit wear by Vickie, taxidermy by Hope, embroidery by Jenny, hair clips by Susanne and more! Not to mention over 100 other local artists. I know where I am planning on doing my Christmas shopping this year.

If you don’t get enough Hot Pink Pistol at Blue Genie might I suggest stopping by Gallery Lombardi Thursday evening for Xmas Expo Group Show. Hope will have all new pieces involving some sort of wild animal called a Gemsbock and pictures of little girls. Ya I can’t wait to see it either. There will also be bands, drinkies, DJs and tons of other Austin artists.

The other hot gossip about time, or Hollywood Gossip in this case, is that Friday night at Club Deville there is a CD release party not to be missed. My pal Cory Ryan and her band Hollywood Gossip are celebrating the release of their brand spankin’ new EP Your so Quiet. If I can stay awake past 9pm I plan on being there with bells on!
