The Return of Bead Bloggers

Chris and I snuck off to Dallas this weekend for a quick trip to visit my parental units. It’s always soothing to be driven around, have all your meals paid for and sleep in your old bed. Saturday we drove out to Fort Worth to check out an Impressionist exhibit at the Kimbell Museum. Chris had been to the Art Institute of Chicago this summer and was disappointed that several paintings were out on loan, and apparently they were in Fort Worth. We saw pieces by Renoir, Degas, Manet, van Gough and my very favorite artist Toulouse-Lautrec. We of course also hit the flea market in Fort Worth where I scored a few treasures to be transformed into jewelry. The rest of the visit was spent, well visiting. Back home in rainy Austin today and back to work. I missed my usual Saturday Bead Bloggers post so let’s do it today.
