There were 4 preggo chicks at the clothes swap this year, as compared to last year's 1 so maternity clothing was a rare thing. I managed to score a few items.

Courtney digs for her 3 minutes while Diana and Tina cheer her on!

The clothing are in several piles to start: small, medium, large, accessories/shoes and maternity. They don't stay in seperate piles for long with all the frenzied digging going on.

Some people look on others are just stalking on the side lines for items that got passed up. You don’t even want to know what Erin had stuffed under her feet waiting for her next turn. A little cheating when it comes to clothes swaps never hurt anyone.

I love it when Amber sticks her tongue out at me almost as much as I love her yellow high tops. We had a whole discussion about how to best to wear them because I got a pair a couple of years ago and have never had them on my feet because I could not decide to roll my jeans when I wear them or just sport a skirt. Oh fashion drama.

After 3 rounds of waiting patiently for your turn we have a free for all where everyone just jumps right in!

This goofy red hat made the rounds from head to head. It looks like a prop from the latest free credit report.com commercials where the band is at a Renaissance festival. I sure hope no one took that bad boy home with them.

The super crafty girls at the swap were not just looking for clothing that could take home and wear, a few were looking for things to take home and alter. Like for example Ms. Tina Sparkles scored some perwinkle jeans that she altered for herself. I'd also like to point out that she scored my zebra skin loafers I brought to the swap. They look so dang cute on her I wish I had kept them. Check out Somebody Else's Periwinkle Blue Skinny Jeans, Made Mine on Craft Stylish.
Im adding this to my list of things to do this year. My closet needs some serious overhauling. I've got dresses that are just being neglected. I feel for them and know that they need a new home... time to round up the troops and some wine.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun. It's too bad for me, I don't have that many girlfriends. For the girlfriends that I do have, the piles would be XS and L (don't think that would work out =P).
ReplyDeleteBonnie you should totally put a group together. we have been doing it for like 5 years and it's like you got a new wardrobe each time. Plus we give all the left overs to charity so it is for a good cause too.
ReplyDeleteAnh the key is having enough girls that there is a wide variety of sizes and things, but not to many or it becomes a bit of a cluster f&*k.
I saw Tina's post about this too... okay, so let us know if anyone else posts about it. I want to see what everyone scored! :)
ReplyDeleteHeather
