Drum roll please, after a week of trying desperately to learn Windows movie maker the Naughty Secretary Club Secretary’s Delight Bracelet video is finally done. The video shows me traveling from craft stores to thrift stores and back to Naughty Secretary Club headquarters whipping up a casted resin bracelet. This is a project in The Naughty Secretary Club: The Working Girls Guide to Handmade Jewelry. The back of the book will have all the cute secretary pictures my sister Hope illustrated for you to scan in and make your own bracelet with! There are two other resin projects in the book, but I’ll let those be a surprise.
*NEW* Naughty Secretary Club Resin Bracelet
Lemme know what you think of the video. It’s no episode of Craft Lab done out in a TV studio in California. Nopers this baby was shot with a little hot pink camera by my sister and my husband and edited by yours truly. I’m going to be doing more how-to videos here on the blog to get everyone in the ready position for my new book. Speaking of I just ordered 100 copies to sell on Naughty Secretary Club!

oh well done YOU!!!!!
oh no problem!
i aspire to be as great of a blog/crafter as naughty secretary club.
I loved it! But I have a question....what's the wallpaper on your computer???? :)
Anyway, that looks like a lot of fun. I wish I had a more ventilated space to work with resins more. Right now its just my tiny kitchen with the window open.
awesome camera work hope ;)
Hey Marilyn that is so funny I wondered if anyone would notice the wall paper! They are corny dogs.
Wow, what a great video. I love how real it is and love how you took us shopping with you. I can't wait to get your book. Kuddos on a job well done and again, congrats on the book. I can't wait to see more video's.

I enjoyed the video.
Thought the store trips were a fun touch.
I kept wanting a few more better close-ups I think the nature of web-videos are too low res for much though. The book will fix that.
Love the colors of the back of the house. I was surprised to see that you could use inkjet prints. I always use laser.
Nice work.
glad everyone liked the shopping part. People in the stores were looking at me like I was nuts but i thought it would be fun.
Hey Brad and Alicia it is hard to do close ups with little digital cameras they are just not nice enough for it. Plus I don't want to give away Christmas. I have to save some tips and tricks for the book :)
This makes me want to go buy a dremel.
Very cute and you make it look so easy.
I LOVE that you go by Violet Newstead. The whole 9 to 5 crew is mentioned often in the new book. Plus when Naughty Secretary Club started as a zine I used the name Doralee Rhodes for everything and never used my real name!
Oh and hell yeah you should buy a Dremel. I have like 3 and LOVE them. You can make all kinds of crafty magic happen with one.
i cannot get the dang thing to play all the way through to save my life! i want to see the rest of it so bad and have been trying all day.....guess i'll have to wait for the book ;)
i love working with resin but love to see your work.
i had to come back and update..i was finally able to see it all the way through YAY!
it was great thanks so much for sharing, i cannot wait to get the book. :)
i'm really looking forward to your book.
I thought the video was great, and I can't wait to see the book!! :-)
MORE! MORE! MORE! Super job and about the best selling pitch for your book I can imagine!
I watch you on Craft Lab and while I love that also, the little video is so much more fun... Just get a little upset with the low res, but I ain't complaining!

Thanks so much for this video! I can't wait for your book to get to my local Borders this week!!!
I finally got around to trying the resin thing yesterday and had some mishaps - that was my fault. I seemed to have skipped your step of putting a teensy bit of resin in with the picture, letting it set up a little and THEN topping it off.
Other than that, they aren't bad. The back (the part exposed to air) is tacky, but the rest is smooth. Is that normal?
By the way, I did all this outside with a respirator mask and goggles and gloves on and I could still smell it a little - stinky stuff!! My brother thought it was hilarious, though.
Thanks again for the wonderful video!
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it:) The trip to the craft stores was a very nice personal touch. I want to make that bracet!!
Oh my WORD! So faboo!!! tfs the video, I wish you boatloads of success!!!
