My First Episode of Gossip Girl

I finally watched my first episode of Gossip Girl last night. I have to say the show was hard to watch in a Beverly Hills 90210 kind of way, but the outfits were good. I keep hearing everyone talk about how cute the clothes and purses are. Just recently I had to send a ton of jewelry to a photo shoot for Blake Lively. I’m not sure if anything worked out, but I heard the stylist was a fan of the Naughty Secretary Club Love Letter Necklace with the letter B. Anywhoodle as I watched Gossip Girl last night the rumors were true there were some pretty dang cute duds. The jewelry was what I was keeping an eye on from long lariats to a pair of Jade Jagger’s lips. I decided to take a few pictures of the TV of my favorites and then see what I had that was similar on Naughty Secretary Club.

I loved this girls earrings which were a spin on the ever popular bamboo hoops. Her lips necklace is what really caught my eye. It reminded me of the Naughty Secretary Club Hot Lips Necklace and Bad Habit Pin.

The snotty little sister wore a cute sprig of millinery flowers as a brooch as she stood in front of her sewing machine that she probably does not know how to turn on. What caught my eye was the small gold bird necklace she was wearing. Might I suggest the Naughty Secretary Club Flight of Fancy Necklace if you love little birds or the Golden Elefant Necklace if you are going for the small and gold effect.

I loved the bespeckled girl’s quirky sense of style. It made me want to run out and get chunky glasses in every color. It was the girl in blue who’s combination of long chain and chunky gold necklace that really mesmerized me. Then she threw in some big earrings. I thought I wore a lot of big jewelry all at once and this girl took my crown and I loved it. You might peruse through our new Les Classiques section for a variety of big gold vintage necklaces. The Naughty Secretary Club Links, Linky Dink and Luxurious Links Necklaces can definitely help you on your way to achieving this look. I just did a photo shoot for another magazine coming out this fall and they wanted all chunky long chains so I have a feeling about this one.

I’m not saying I’m a big Gossip Girl convert now, but I did set the Tivo to record future episodes. Not for the plot, just for the outfits and jewelry. I had fun playing my own version of get this look for less.

I watched my first Gossip Girl episode last night too! We were feeling like we wanted to veg out with some TV and it was the best option at 8pm on a Monday. Sometimes I'd find myself thinking about their outfits and my mind would wander and I'd lose track of what was happening on the show. It's neat to see all Naughty Secretary-esque items!

The show actually makes me want to change out of my jammies and get dressed. I looked it up on IMDB and apparently Tonya Huskey was the costume designer for last nights episode. I'd love to get my jewelry into her hot little hands to use on the show!

Ugh, Gossip Girl. Awesome clothes, terrible show. If you're looking for a guilty pleasure teensploitation show, give Supernatural a try :P

Erin you had me at teensploitation. I'm setting the TIVO now.

haha, I Twittered about this last night! The majority of the jewelry worn in last night's episode was by Alexis Bittar. I spotted some of his lucite and some stuff from the Miss Havisham collection.

Hey Claye thanks for the link! The Tina Necklace is the exact one the girl in blue was wearing that I LOVED. I still didn't see the neon green hoops I was smitten on.

Loved that necklace, too...

The neon green bamboo hoops are also Alexis Bittar, but a bit older, and not on his official website any longer. (I used to work in a boutique that carried Alexis Bittar, so I was spotting each piece like "Ohhh yeah!")
