I love crafty magazines and I am not afraid to shout it from the roof tops! Make It Mine is one of my new faves. Their spring issue just hit the stands and it is chocked full of crafty goodness. I love it so much I am giving away 5 copies right here on my blog. I know, I know I just gave away copies of Bust last week – but hey who doesn’t want free magazines. This time I have 5 issues to give away, but I have two favors to ask. First if you are familiar with Make It Mine leave me a comment about what you think of the magazine. If you have not yet snagged yourself a copy let me know what crafty magazines (online or print) you do frequent and yes blogs count. Also Make It Mine has started themselves a brand spankin’ new My Space page and I would love you forever if you added them as a friend.
Make It Mine has a 2 prong strategy to win over your crafty heart. Not only do they have their print magazine but they also have a really fun and informative blog with videos and how-to posts. For instance I found the post on how to make a mold with a two part epoxy especially helpful. Whether you sew, embroider or carve stamps there is kind of something for everyone. Plus with the blog the wait in-between issues just does not seem quite as long since you have daily crafty ideas to help tide you over.
With the spring issue of Make It Mine I was smitten for a myriad of reason. First of all there are lots of amazing jewelry projects by people I heart like Barbe Saint John. My amazingly talented younger sister Hope Perkins has a 4 page spread about painting on clothing called “Let Your Cage Bird Sing”. Not one, but two of my fellow bead blogging babes have projects in the new issue of Make It Mine. Even though I am not a big wine drinker I was drawn to the article by Candie Cooper because of her use of vintage jewelry. Katie Hacker sparkled up some shoes and anything to do with shoes is going to make me happy. Stitch get’s a shout out in the article called Heart Felt Ambitions about LeBrie Rich of Pen Felt, one of the most amazing felt artists in the whole wide world. Craft Lab guest PC Smart makes an appearance in the issue. The article Armed with Charms caught my attention since Hope and I were just having a discussion about how she should draw onto Shrinky Dink paper to make jewelry.
How can you not want to run out and score yourself a copy of Make It Mine after that rave review! Be sure to leave a comment and add them as a My Space friend and in a week I’ll go through the comments and let you know what lucky 5 peeps scored themselves a copy!

I've not seen or heard of Make It Mine but I will check out the links as it sounds up my alley.
I subscribe to Craft, Make, Adorn, Ready Made and Bust (I think of these all as having crafty/DIY ethos of one sort or another.)
Blogs: a billion! Craft is a favorite. I've also got these in my feeder: Thimble, Burda, Curbly, Extreme Craft, Diary of a Crafty Chica....
I actually stopped all my mag subscriptions because I felt they were piling up-- but I do buy these at the book store from time to time (or just contribute for a free copy, heh!)-- Martha Stewart Living, Sew Simple, Bust, Crochet Today and Interweave Crochet, and Craft Stylish.
I've never seen this mag before, but your review of it has peaked my interest big time! I read so many blogs...it's kind of my "biz!" I love Adorn magazine, too. Will add Make it Mine on MySpace this evening...can't get on it at work!
Haven't seen it yet but can't wait! I do read Craft, and Knitty. Just started checking out Adorn.

This mag looks fab and I've never seen it around my little mid-western town (big surprise I know right?) but I'd love to win it and check it out! I hang out some at the craftster site and some knitting blogs but love other crafts too - I'm a random sort that likes to do it all even if it's not done perfect or w/ much skill... just the doing is fun!

I check out Knitty, Threadbanger, Whip Up and other crafty blogs/blogzines online and occasionally I'll pick up an Interweave knits. I also love the craft features in Bust. Otherwise, I'm kind of at a loss as to a crafty magazine that really captures my interest, esp., a print magazine.
I'll try any kind of craft and I like stuff to for family's use (not selling). It seems like a lot of what I find is geared toward sales (or at least mass production). The stuff for personal use seems to involve materials I don't have, time I don't have or a finished product that doesn't appeal. I think I'm more into books than magazines b/c of that.
I'd love to find a magazine that has a wide range of projects in terms of style, time investment, cost, etc. I never see embroidery anywhere (which is why I just kind of do my own thing but never know what to embroider on)Maybe Make It Mine is what I've been looking for,
I was at the magazine store just the other day looking for this but no luck. So I walked out with the latest Bust & Domino instead. Sometimes it's hard to find craft magazines in NYC (believe it or not). I hope I win me a copy! :)
I get Craft, Make, Readymade and Adorn and the rest of my crafty reads come from the endless feeds on bloglines! I first heard about this new mag from another blog but haven't seen it for sale locally yet.
I wasn't overly impressed with the first issue, which I won on Katie Hacker's blog, by the way. However, I did love the article on brooches and how to convert them, and some of the techniques lessons. I think they are off to a good start, though, and need more practical, usable input.
I really enjoyed the first issue and I've also considered submitting a project as well. I love the idea of a general magazine with mixed type projects!
These sound like a lot of the same magazines and blogs I read.
I subscribe to: Teen Vogue, Cooking Light, Elle and Bazaar.
I usually get sent lots of free crafty magazines and peruse the Half Price Book Store often for cheapie, yet brand spanking new mags.
I read most of the blogs to the left with some frequency. I don't like blogs with lots of life stories just pretty pictures mostly.
I'll pick a magazine winner at the end of the week. Thanks again tons for all your posts and responses. Make It Mine is a great mag for ADD crafters like me that like to do a lot of different things.
I actually got the first issue of this magazine and really liked it. It has a lot of variety in the projects they give tutorials for, so it's appealing on lots of levels..... And I agree, it's great for ADD crafters (I am one of them)!
