Today is a rough day to have crafty frustration. I was up late last night helping Cory ring in her 30th birthday on a karaoke bus that drove 17 of us around Austin. Needless to say I’m a little worn out today and my throat is scratchy from my rendition of “Midnight Train to Georgia”. Anyway I am playing with a top secret crafting tool for my book trying to make something awesome I saw in 9 to 5 and I am having issues. I even took a trip to Memory Depot to see if the people in the store could bestow any wisdom on me. They had a few good suggestions, but my necklace is still not coming out how I envisioned it. It is a crafting tool that I have used super briefly in a field piece on Craft Lab once so I don’t have a ton of experience with it. However, I love it and I know it has a lot of possibilities! After going to bed at 3am today might not be the best day to try and hone a new crafty skill.
I leave you with some pictures from the last two days of Cory’s birthday extravaganza. The first picture is of her and my husband Chris on drums. She has been taking bass lessons and for her recital she gathered some friends to do some cover tunes Sunday night at Hole in the Wall. For only one practice together I thought they sounded amazing. Then here are a couple pictures of Karly belting out some Madonna, Cory and her dad Tim dueting Sonny and Cher and then the Rockin Ride!
