Whitney Lee - Power Craft

My friend Whitney Lee is having an art opening tonight at Women and Their Work here in Austin. If you are town, you should stop by. Whitney is usually known for her PG-13 Latch hook rugs she does through her comapny Made With Sweet Love. Have you seen the clip of the Indie Craft Documentary on You Tube that went around? Well that image that is frozen on there that you click to play is a picture of Whitney standing on one of her giant rugs. Anyway tonight’s show is something a little different. I am hoping to make it out and to the Babes in Business Meeting this evening.

Speaking of art shows I wanted you to see this clip. My sister Hope has entered an art show called Radical Nautical with a couple of fantastical pieces, Buck the singing deer being my favorite. She found the deer head not working and sans antlers at a store in McKinney called a ½ of a ½ and breathed new life into him with a fresh coat of paint and a tattoo of a ship on his neck.
