Today has been a slow news day. I have been making jewelry all morning, like these lovely Deer Hunter Earrings for example.
Speaking of news Chris said he read a blurb on Yahoo about Idiocracy this morning. Idiocracy is this movie starring Luke Wilson and Maya Rudolph directed by Mike Judge that was shot here in Austin like 3 or 4 years ago. While they were in town the stylist, Debra McGuire, stopped by Parts and Labour took a shine to my resin jewelry I was making at the time. They had me makes tons and tons of jewelry with the logos from the movie to use on the cast. Well years later I keep hearing about the movie release getting pushed back or buried. Someone must think this movie is pretty awful. I just wanna see my baubles on the big screen. Does anyone know any scoop about the movie release?

I saw "Idiocracy" last night at the Alamo on South Lamar and it was pretty funny, not at all the flop I expected from its limited and stealthy release. Lots of silly sight gags. I'm sorry I didn't look for your earrings though! It's playing at several Austin theaters this week if you want to check it out.
