I am trying to keep up with this blog seriously and it is kind of hard. I bet it is even harder to read. This is more for the benefit of family members and close loved ones while I am in Los Angeles so please excuse this if it reads like watching paint dry.
Well today I woke up to my lovely younger sister calling me at 8am my time and 10 am her time. I actually did not answer the phone. She was doing makeup today for Vickie’s book cover. Seriously, my sister should do make up for a living she is really good.
Well since I was up so early I laid in bed and watched Spider Man part 2. Those movies are kind of good actually. You know what else.. I am not ashamed to admit that I really like that Dashboard Confessionals song that is the theme. If I had Itunes on my lap top I would download it right now to prove it!
About 10 Jane my other stylist started calling temping me with this thing called the Sunset Junction. Apparently it is the hot ticket in town. She and I ended up going mall shopping for more wardrobe instead. I learned the ins and outs of shopping at places like Bloomingdales and Macy’s with a badge. Apparently there is a whole different area you go to for TV clothes. Who knew? Not me. It was totally interesting. Plus Jane is so awesome. She was a runway model discovered in Korea that lived in Paris married a rocker and now does styling for TV and magazines. What a cool life. We also spent 1.2 seconds in Santa Monica. We ran into the Anthropology there. It’s weird it was colder there since it was by the ocean.
Well Jane and her hubby had to do a late night drive to Vegas so our dinner plans and trip to the sunset art thing were cut short. I came back to the hotel where I sat for a minute got bored and hit the bar. I talked to my mom, dad, Vickie and Chris. The bar situation is weird in this hotel, but that is a different story.
Came back up to the room and put on my jimmies at a whole whopping 10:30 and that is where we are now. I have minimal food and am on my second kashi bar. That is all I have had to eat today, but the room service options are like chicken pot pie or meat loaf. Barf-a-saurus-rex.
My friend Leigh-Ann who used to be the fashion editor at the Austin American Statesmen had written me. She lives here in LA now. She and I are getting together pronto, maybe as soon as tomorrow. She has a cute little baby now so that should be fun. The New York Dolls complete with David Johannsen are playing at that Sunset thing tomorrow so I really wanna hit it. If not there is always the Melrose/Fairfax Flea Market.
Did I mention the internet connection in my room is really slow.
